Stephen Timms talks about stabbing

Help

Former Labour minister Stephen Timms was stabbed twice in his stomach on 14 May by Roshonara Choudhry. She was found guilty of attempted murder and has been jailed for life. She is expected to serve a minimum of 15 years.

Ms Choudhry attacked Mr Timms in revenge for him voting for the Iraq war. She is said to have been inspired by an al-Qaeda cleric and radicalised by watching his video sermons on the internet.

Stephen Timms has recovered from his injuries and recounted what happened to BBC Radio 5 live's Victoria Derbyshire.
