Operating profits at pest controller Rentokil saw a 15% rise to £295m last year.
The figure excludes the results of disposed businesses and relects growth in all regions, the company said, although it was offset by lower profits in France.
The year was notable for the number of acquisitions the company made, said boss Andy Ransom. It spent £281m on 41 businesses in the year.
"2017 has been a particularly good year for M&A and we have acquired 33 pest control companies and seven high-quality hygiene businesses across 24 countries," Mr Ransom said.
