Warner Brothers and cinema chain Cineworld are investing in Spyglass Media Group, a new venture being set up by Lantern, the new owner of Harvey Weinstein's film and TV properties.

The new entertainment company will distribute existing films and TV shows, such as the Project Runway series, as well as making new films and TV series that were put on hold when Weinstein Co went bankrupt in 2018 following sexual assault claims against Mr Weinstein.

Although it is not known how big a stake Warner Bros will have in the venture, the studio will be given a "first look" at new projects, according to Bloomberg.
