Archbishop Welby accused of hypocrisy

Archbishop of Canterbury

The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, is facing accusations of hypocrisy.

Earlier this week he criticised Amazon for "paying almost nothing in tax" and said that zero-hours contracts were " the reincarnation of an ancient evil".

The Times reports on its front page that the Church of England uses zero-hours contracts and has invested in Amazon.

It quotes Conservative MP Ben Bradley who says it's "hypocritical" of the archbishop to criticise zero-hours contracts whilst the church advertises zero-hours jobs.
