Researchers at St George's University of London are looking for volunteers for a paid study into how people can cut down on smoking.
People can take part if they are over 18 years old, smoke 10 or more cigarettes a day and want to reduce but not quit smoking.
Half of the 225 volunteers will get advice on reducing smoking and where to get further support, while the others will try out up to eight sessions with a health trainer who will help them both cut down on smoking and increase physical activity.
Participants will receive £60 for completing questionnaires.
