A man from Blackburn who died after his car hit a tree in Scotland has been identified.
Mohammad Asghar, 54, was driving south on the A74M near Kirkpatrick Fleming, Dumfries and Galloway, at about 20:10 on Wednesday when his BMW left the road and crashed.
Police said there may have been debris on the carriageway and want to identify a southbound vehicle which may have lost timber from its load between Junctions 19 and 21.

A 29-year-old man has been charged with murder after a man was stabbed to death in Blackburn.
Dylan Slater, of no fixed address, is accused of murdering Tarro Grogan, 29, who died at the scene in Peridot Close, on Sunday.
Lancashire Police said Mr Slater is due to appear at Blackburn Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
Two men, aged 28 and 29, and a 39-year-old woman who were arrested on suspicion of murder have been released.
A new £1.6m car park for patients, visitors and staff at Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital has opened.
The new facility on Old Bank Lane has space for 500 cars and was a joint partnership between the council and East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust to help reduce traffic problems in the area.
The car park will be managed by the council and visitors will be charged £1.90 for up to three hours and £3.50 for between eight and 24 hours.
The Local Democracy Reporters Service said charges were expected to raise up to £500,000 a year for Blackburn with Darwen Council.
