Thousands of people usually attend the annual Lakes International Comic Art Festival (LICAF), which brings some of the world’s greatest comic artists to Kendal, however this year will be a little different.

The festival, which is celebrating its 8th year and begins today, will predominantly be virtual, due to the pandemic, with events, talks and comic challenges taking place online.

However, LICAF still wanted to bring something special to the streets of Kendal to mark the occasion, so will be lighting up the Town Hall to kick-off the festival.

This celebration of comics in lights and sound comes to the area today and tomorrow from 20:00 until 21:30.
