    The Swiss government has announced that it is banning large public gatherings of more than 1,000 people until 15 March.

    Palexpo SA, which hosts the Geneva International Motor Show, has sent the following email to all attendees and exhibitors (translated from French):

    "As you learned this morning, the Federal Council has decided to ban all public and private demonstrations of more than 1,000 people.

    "So we have no choice but to cancel the 90th edition of GIMS 2020 and we are taking all necessary measures to comply with the federal ordinance which entered into force at 10:15 am this morning."
