No plain sailing for travel stocks

At 15:45, the Royal Caribbean cruise company had dropped by 7.29%.
Delta Airlines saw a fall of nearly 5%, down 2.26 points.
American Airlines was also down by 8.94%.
Some investors suspect that the travel industry will be badly hit by travel restrictions and a slowdown in business caused by the coronavirus outbreak.

737 MAX grounding costs American Airlines $540m
Copyright: Getty ImagesUS airline American has raised its estimate of the bill relating to the Boeing 737 MAX grounding to $540m (£419m), 35% more than it previously estimated.
The 737 MAX was grounded worldwide in March after two deadly crashes killed 346 people within five months.
In the latest quarter, American said it took a $140m hit to its pre-tax income because of cancelled flights.
American said net income rose to $425m in the three months to the end of September.
Total operating revenue climbed 3% to $11.91bn.
