The 500-year study into the lifespan of microbes

Scientists start a 500-year study into the life and death of bacteria
Bacteria can live for several thousands of years. But a team of researchers want to discover how the micro-organisms eventually die. The study is meant to continue until 2514. British scientist Charles Cockell has told BBC Newsday how the experiment is being conducted.
