Big Picture: 'Gigapixel' camera image

Behold an image of the Seattle skyline using a "gigapixel" camera, containing 98 microcameras and the software to stitch together enormous images at a rate of three frames a minute. Researchers reporting in Nature say the device is about as large as a small refrigerator, but that hand-held gigapixel technology may be on the horizon.
