UK Cars, based in the Nelson, Lancashire, appealed against Pendle Council's decision to take away its operating licence due to four of their vehicles failing mechanical checks.

Burnley Magistrates' Court upheld Pendle Council's decision (WHAT WAS THE COURT'S DECISION) and the firm was ordered to pay court costs of more than £3,500 to the authority on (DAY IN COURT).

The solicitor representing UK Cars said there are plans to begin a further appeal against the decision.

We revoked their licence because there was a persistent pattern of their cars failing our mechanical checks. We have to put the safety of passengers first and we take a tough stance on this.
