Celebrity Instagram feeds, California sunshine and thousands of people not being at work on Monday morning because of the time difference may have been enough to make you jealous of everyone at Coachella.
But if they weren't quite enough, some of the surprise guests might tip you over the edge of envy.
This year's event was headlined by AC/DC, Jack White and Drake.
It was some of the unannounced acts that got people talking though.
Madonna - during Drake's set
What better place to start than with the so-called queen of pop making an appearance during Drake's headline set.
The 56-year-old arrived on stage after he performed his track called Madonna, which was released on his If You're Reading This mixtape.
She then sang Human Nature and Hung Up.
And, not being one to make an appearance without attracting headlines, she then kissed Drake, A LOT, said the words "I'm Madonna" and walked off the stage.
Travis Barker and Zach de la Rocha - during Run The Jewels' set
Rap duo Run The Jewels made the most of their contacts book during their set on Saturday.
Rage Against the Machine frontman Zack de la Rocha came out for Close Your Eyes before blink-182 drummer Travis Barker played All Due Respect.
The third special guest saw Memphis rapper Gangsta Boo appearing on stage for Love Again.
Haim - during Hozier's set
OK, so it wasn't all three sisters but Este Haim put in a solid performance during Hozier's set on day two.
She was on stage to help the singer cover The Time's 1984 hit Jungle Love.
AlunaGeorge and MO - during DJ Snake's set
Grammy-nominated French DJ and producer DJ Snake, William Grigahcine to his pals, also got involved on the special guest action.
He brought out AlunaGeorge to perform You Know You Like It, which he co-produced for the electro duo's debut album Body Music and MO to sing on Lean On.
No special guests - during The Weeknd's set
Canadian R&B artist The Weeknd took the main stage on Saturday armed with a back catalogue including collaborations with Drake, Ariana Grande, French Montana and Ty Dolla Sign.
But none of them made an appearance during the set.
Kendall Jenner's middle finger - during Tyler The Creator's set
The Kardashian sister was minding her own business in the VIP area of the rapper's set when he stopped to call out everyone who wanted to be in front of the rest of the crowd.
"This section sucks. You're the people who have money and paid extra, huh? Y'all boring. Everyone in the real crowd y'all gonna have a good time.
"Kendall Jenner here thinking she's cool."
She responded by putting her middle finger up at the rapper.
The second weekend of Coachella, which replicates the same line-up, is 17 to 19 April.
