Members of Southampton Airport Fire Service are cycling from Aberdeen to Southampton to raise funds for the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance Service.
As part of the challenge, the group will visit all three of the airports in the AGS Group along the way, including Glasgow.
They aim to cover 655 miles (1,055km) over six days and raise at least £3,000.
On Sunday, a fun run was held on the runway at Southampton Airport to raise extra cash for the cause.
The air ambulance service costs £15,000 to operate each day.

Taxi fares on the Isle of Wight will increase by 20p per mile — the first price hike in six years.
In January, Isle of Wight Councillors voted to increase the cost per mile for taxi fares by 10p per mile and the initial cost of flagging down a taxi was to rise by 50p.

Visitors to the New Forest are being urged to keep their distance from the national park’s free-roaming animals amid concern many people are getting too close to them.
Head agister Jonathan Gerrelli said: "Most New Forest ponies and donkeys are even-tempered animals and often come close to visitors, but they are not used to being handled and should be left alone.
"The animals may look friendly but can bite or kick, especially when they have young with them."
Treating the animals as tame encourages them to pester people and hang around busy roads and car parks putting them at risk of road accidents, the New Forest National Park Authority said.
New Forest ponies are well adapted to thrive all year round in the wild and there is no need to feed them, it added.

More than 5,500 people have signed a petition to try to save four mental health day centres on the Isle of Wight.

A man has been charged with the murder of a former councillor whose body was found in woodland on the Isle of Wight.
Gerry White's body was discovered in Lake community gardens off Scotchells Brook Lane on Monday afternoon.
Mr White, 73, from Sandown, was a pub landlord and had sat on Isle of Wight and Lake Parish councils.

A new £10m freight ferry for the Isle of Wight has entered service.
Red Kestrel is the first freight-only roll-on-roll-off vessel to operate between Southampton and East Cowes.
Operator Red Funnel hopes the vessel, which can can carry up to 12 full-sized lorries, will free up space on its conventional car ferries.
It was named last month and has since completed a few weeks of sea trials in the Solent.
