Fire crews are helping the ambulance service in Kent by transporting increasing number of obese patients, according to figures obtained by BBC Radio Kent.
In the past three years, Kent Fire and Rescue said it had assisted with more than 560 bariatric patients.
In 2018, firefighters helped to move 263 people, up from 130 the year before.
By 4 October this year, 175 bariatric patients had been assisted, according to official figures.
A South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust spokesperson said the figures needed to be seen in the context of about 800,000 calls received each year.
"Across our region we treat a variety of patients, many of whom are managing long term and complex health needs.
"We have a duty to ensure we have the resources required to respond to the needs of all our patients including those who are overweight."
British Airways passengers are being asked to check with their airline after issues with a flight planning computer system overnight caused delays to long-haul flights.

An airport spokesman said there would be a knock-on effect for some departures.
No other airlines have been affected, he said.

Two boys have been taken to hospital after being attacked by adults armed with a knife and baseball bat.
Sussex Police say a 16-year-old boy suffered two stab wounds and a 17-year-old boy sustained a head injury during the attack in Hailsham on Tuesday at about 20:00 GMT.
The younger boy was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, and the older boy to the Conquest Hospital, St Leonards-on-Sea.
Neither was deemed to have suffered life-threatening or life-changing injuries.
The boys and friends were in Halley Park on the Town Farm estate. They were approached by a group of adults of both sexes who attacked them.
A 27-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman, both from Hailsham, have been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent.
Both have since been released under investigation.
It's been another great fundraising achievement for BBC South East's annual Children in Need appeal.
This year our party was held at Allington Castle near Maidstone.
So far almost £3.9m has been raised across Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
Thank you to everyone who took part for all your fantastic fundraising efforts.
