  2. Huge wind turbines fitted out at Belfast harbour

    State of the art wind turbines with a diameter bigger than the London Eye are being assembled at Belfast harbour.

    The 32 turbines are destined for the sea off Liverpool. Once running, they will generate enough electricity for a city twice the size of Belfast - about 230,000 homes.  

  3. Hughes joins Indian Super League team

    Northern Ireland defender Aaron Hughes has signed a one-year deal with Indian Super League side Kerala Blasters.

    The 36-year-old, who has won 103 caps, will play for a team managed by former Manchester United and England winger Steve Coppell.  

  4. Priest has no beef about doing the cleaning

    A priest who moved to Northern Ireland from Romania is working part time as a cleaner because he does not earn enough to support himself through ministry.

    Fr Cornelius Clepea, a Romanian Orthodox priest based in Ballymena, County Antrim, works five days a week as a cleaner in a meat slaughterhouse.  

  5. Woman guilty of Arklow pier crash murder

    A 29-year-old woman has been found guilty in the Republic of Ireland of murdering her colleague by driving him off a pier into deep water.

    Marta Herda, of Emoclew Road in Arklow, County Wicklow, had denied the murder of 31-year-old Csaba Orsas at the town's South Pier on 26 March 2013.  

  6. Santa Cruz says it is 'perfect time' to fight Frampton

    Leo Santa Cruz believes this is "the perfect time" to fight Carl Frampton in what he describes as a career-defining fight for both boxers.

    "We are both undefeated, both in our prime time and it's the perfect time to fight each other," said Santa Cruz who is defending his WBA featherweight title against Frampton at the weekend.

  7. Police appeal after fatal crash in County Donegal

    Police have said they are trying to establish why two vehicles crashed head-on in County Donegal, killing two men and a woman.

    The crash happened in the Drumkeen area, near Letterkenny this morning. It comes after two men were killed in a crash in the area on Wednesday.

  8. Car destroyed in north Belfast arson attack

    This is a vehicle destroyed in an arson attack in north Belfast this morning.

    There were two arson attacks - one in Cliftonville Road and the other in Clifton Park Avenue.  A 19-year-old man has been arrested.

  9. PSNI officer disciplined over schoolboy investigation

    A PSNI officer has been disciplined for doing "virtually nothing" for 10 months to progress an investigation into an assault on a County Down schoolboy.

    The boy suffered a broken wrist, broken tooth and bruising when he was punched and kicked during the 2014 attack.  

  10. Crash victim 'leaves tremendous legacy'

    Mourners at the funeral of Michelle McStravick, who was killed in a crash near Randalstown on Monday, have been told she leaves a "tremendous legacy".
