    Sports Personality of the Year will finally be taking to the SSE Arena stage in Belfast this Sunday.

    The main event kicks off at 18:50 on BBC One but you can also watch an hour-long red carpet show from 17:00 on BBC Two NI for all the build up and a rundown of all the nominated sportspeople. And remember - there's still time to vote for your favourite.

    A crash on the M2 has been cleared and traffic is moving again but there's still plenty of delays - these images show the tailback at the scene a little while ago.

  7. Thousands of pounds worth of steak stolen in burglary

    Steak worth £7,000 has been stolen in a break-in at a butcher's shop in Cullybackey.


    The steak was in 30 boxes that were stolen from the shop on the Dreen Road some time between 20:30 on Wednesday night and 07:00 the next morning.

  8. The burglar, the priest and the wardrobe

    A County Clare priest has been praised after giving a burglar a lift, just minutes after finding him hiding in his wardrobe.


    Fr Patrick Conway found Michael Clune hiding in a room in Ennis on 7 December. The burglar returned 20 euros to the priest, and was then given a lift into town. 

  9. Barn owl seized by police in Annalong

    Police have seized a barn own in Annalong that was put on sale on social media.

    It's the fifth barn owl recovered in recent weeks.

  10. Minister congratulates bombardier after aircraft certification

    Enterprise minister Jonathan Bell has congratulated Bombardier after its C-Series aircraft was certified for commercial flying.


    "This is a hugely significant development and the last major milestone ahead of the aircraft's entry into commercial service, he says.
