Figures collected by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) during the last two summers reveal the typical delays.
All flyers using EasyJet had an average delay of 24 minutes, and those leaving from Gatwick waited 27 minutes.

A 19-year-old British water sports instructor has died while snorkelling and underwater swimming in Greece.
Harry Byatt, who worked in Zakynthos, an island in the south-west of Greece, failed to resurface after diving into the sea, his employer said.
The former Eastbourne College pupil's body was discovered on the seabed at a depth of around 30 metres on 6 August.
Tributes have been paid online to the "beloved son, brother, and friend" on social media. Read more here.

Former Eastbourne College pupil Harry Byatt, 19, has died snorkelling off Greek island of Zakynthos.
A statement on the school's Facebook page read: "The College community will be greatly saddened to hear that Harry Byatt [who] has died in a tragic snorkelling accident in Greece at the weekend.
"Our thoughts are with his family at this incredibly sad time."
