  3. Fire to burn 'all night'

    Emergency services say the fire at a waste management site in Lewes, believed to be MDJ Light Brothers Ltd, will probably burn all night.

    Police say the site contains 200 tonnes of scrap metal.

    There are now 10 fire engines and about 50 firefighters at the incident, which has closed the A27 around Lewes.

  16. Paintballing guns found after weapons reported

    Armed officers attended Salisbury Road in Worthing around 13:00 GMT today after a number of weapons were seen in a property.

    Officers sealed off the road and entered the house and found the collection of what looked to be rifles. The weapons were examined and found to be paintballing guns and posed no danger to the public.

    Sussex Police in Worthing

    Armed police surrounded a home in Worthing after reports of weapons inside.

    Sussex Police deployed the officers earlier and have closed Salisbury Road.

    The report of weapons being seen was received around 12:00 BST and officers remain at the scene.

    The force said this is "not connected to the Manchester attack".
