Police appeal over Hailsham armed robbery

Kathryn Langley

BBC Live reporter

Police are looking for two men who robbed a garage in Hailsham at knifepoint.

They threatened a member of staff at the Hawkswood Service Station before taking £130 and 10 packets of cigarettes.

It happened at about 21:25 GMT on 27 December.

Fortunately the staff member was not injured but has understandably been left shaken by this incident. I would ask anyone who was in the area at the time and who saw anything suspicious to get in touch. Even something that you may think is really insignificant could really help."

BBC Live reporter

Brighton continued their impressive form in the Championship as they beat Fulham 2-1 away from home.

The hosts dominated the first half and were awarded an early penalty, which was saved by Seagulls keeper David Stockdale, but were rewarded after the break as Lucas Piazon curled into the corner.

However, the game turned when Tomer Hemed levelled from the penalty spot after he was fouled, before Lewis Dunk was quickest to a loose ball to score Brighton's winner two minutes later.
