    Brighton and Hove Albion look to cement their place at the top of the Championship this evening.

    The Seagulls are two points clear of Newcastle going into the home game against Cardiff.

  3. Partying for NYE? Don't rely on a train to get you home...

    Are you heading out to celebrate New Year's Eve this year? 

    Well, if you were planning to catch a train home you might want to rethink... as another three day strike on Southern rail starts tomorrow.

    The RMT insists it's not trying to disrupt celebrations and says it cancelled two days of strikes before Christmas.

  4. Man wanted for recall to prison

    Lloyd Emmanuel Francis

    Police are looking for Lloyd Emmanuel Francis who's breached his prison licence conditions. 

    The 25-year-old was sentenced to three months in prison in October for possession of a Samurai sword in a public place. 

    He's known to visit Hastings and St Leonards. Officers are asking anyone who sees him to call 999.

  5. Drink driving campaign sees dozens charged

    Two builders, a nurse and a tree surgeon are among the first people to be convicted for drink or drug-driving in Sussex this December.

    Officers carrying out dedicated patrols and responding to reports of incidents have so far made 187 arrests in the county as part of the Christmas campaign run by Sussex Police.

    Of these, 24 have already been convicted and a further 77 have been charged to appear before magistrates.

    The operation launched on Thursday 1 December and ends on Sunday 1 January.

  6. Masked men rob Hove supermarket

    There's been an armed robbery at a supermarket in Hove. 

    Police say it happened at Tesco in The Droveway on Christmas Eve. 

    Two masked men threatened staff with a knife before stealing several hundreds pounds from the tills. 

    They escaped on a green or blue motorbike which had been stolen earlier that day from Southampton Street in Brighton.

  9. Woman attacked at Brighton traveller site

    A woman's been stabbed and beaten during an argument at a traveller site in Brighton. 

    The 37-year-old was involved in an argument at Horsdean in St Michael's Way on Tuesday night. 

    Police are looking for a 35-year-old man who's known to her - he's thought to have gone to London. 

    They're asking any witnesses to come forward.
