  2. Man stabbed in Crawley

    A 23-year-old man's in hospital with stab wounds, after a fight in Crawley.

    The man, who's from London, suffered stab wounds to his left arm during the brawl, which involved a number of people.

    It happened in College Road, close to the library, around 21:30 GMT on 28 December.

  3. Antiques Roadshow comes to Sussex

    The BBC's Antiques Roadshow is coming to West Sussex next year as it celebrates its 40th series. 

    The programme will be at Nymans Gardens near Haywards Heath on 8 June. 

    The show will visit Queen Victoria's former royal palace, Osborne on the Isle of Wight, in September. 

    And there'll be a special show filmed outside the Queen Vic pub on Eastenders' Albert Square at BBC Studios in Elstree.

    Invited guests will bring objects from the world of film, music, theatre and TV to be appraised.

  5. Brighton makes top ten in New Year's Eve price list

    Brighton will be one of the most expensive destinations in the UK for this New Year's Eve, according to a survey. 

    The city came in at number six in the poll, which compared the cost of hotels with at least three stars in 20 popular cities. 

    It found the cheapest double room in central Brighton on 31 December would set you back £179. 

    Edinburgh was the most expensive destination.

  7. Man sought over wallet and money theft

    Police in Eastbourne are looking for this man after an 83-year-old man's wallet was stolen, and then his card used to take £1,800 from his bank account. 

    It happened in the Terminus Road area on 23 November. 

    It's thought the thief may have been working together with a younger man and a blonde woman.

    Unwanted Christmas presents

    Did you get something for Christmas you really didn't need or want? 

    BBC Sussex is looking for your unused and unwanted gifts for its second Give A Gift Day - they'll be sold to raise money for BBC Children in Need.

    The event is taking place on 14 January at St Paul's Art Centre, Chapel Road in Worthing. 

    You can donate almost anything, except homemade food, knives or electrical goods. 

    Please drop off your unwanted items during office hours at the BBC Sussex reception on Queens Road in Brighton.
