  2. 'This could have been absolutely terrible'

    Five suspected migrants have been taken to hospital after being found in the back of a freezer lorry. 15 people, including a child of 13, were discovered in the lorry at Clacket Lane services on the M25 after the driver heard banging in the back of the vehicle.

  4. Flats evacuated in Brighton after suspicious package found

    Here are the first images of an evacuation of flats in Grosvenor Street in Brighton after police found a suspicious package at 16.21 BST.

    Bomb disposal was called to attend and about ten neighbouring properties in the 11 storey-block were evacuated.

    A suspicious device was discovered by police as they carried out an unrelated search of a flat in Grosvenor Street in Brighton at about 164:21 today. 

    Bomb disposal was called to attend and about ten neighbouring properties - flats above and below - in the 11 storey block have been evacuated. 

    The incident is ongoing as of 17:45

  7. Migrant lorry find 'could have been terrible' say police

    Fifteen suspected illegal immigrants have received medical treatment after being found in a freezer lorry refrigerated to -25C.

    The driver stopped at Clacket Lane services on the M25 in Surrey when he heard loud banging coming from inside the vehicle about 10:20 BST.

  8. Clown sighting in Eastbourne

    People dressing up as clowns and scaring the public has become popular on Twitter in America.

    The craze has now come to the UK.

    A cyclist has reported to Sussex Police that a person dressed as a clown jumped out from a bush holding what he believed to be an offensive weapon.

    The man didn't speak to him and made no attempts to harm him but he was still shaken by the incident.

  12. M25 migrants - more details

     A child and 14 adults are being taken to hospital after being found in the back of a freezer lorry at a service station on the M25. 

    Officers were called to Clacket Lane services, between junctions 5 and 6 of the motorway, after reports "of concern for safety" over a group of suspected illegal immigrants who were discovered in a vehicle.

    The driver of the white HGV, who was travelling northbound, stopped at the service station after reporting that he had heard loud banging coming from inside.
