Man arrested over racial abuse

A man's has been arrested after a woman was racially abused in Brighton.

The 46-year-old homeless man was picked up in Hove this morning.

He's being questioned on suspicion of racially aggravated fear or provocation of violence.

Hurstpierpoint fire: update

West Sussex Fire and Rescue say they've now been stood down from a fire in Hurstpierpoint High Street. 

Up to 30 firefighters have been tackling the fire this afternoon. 

It's thought to have broken out on the ground floor of a shop.

Police are looking for these three men caught on camera at a shop in Eastbourne Arndale Centre. 

Officers want to question them after hundreds of pounds worth of hair removal equipment was stolen last Friday afternoon.

West Sussex Fire and Rescue say they've now got seven fire engines at the scene of a fire in a shop on the High Street in Hurstpierpoint. They were called there just before 15:00 BST.

Concern for missing teenager

Police say they're worried about Liam Moore, who's gone missing from Henfield. 

The 16-year-old was last seen at home yesterday afternoon.

They think he might have travelled to Crawley.

West Sussex Fire and Rescue have just told me around 15 crew are at the scene of a fire in Hurstpierpoint High Street.

They were called there just before 15:00 BST.

The fire is in a shop, although it's not been confirmed which one.

Malcolm Smith is wanted by Sussex Police for breaching the terms of his release from jail. 

The 36-year-old is believed to be sleeping rough in Brighton, but he also has connections with Hastings and Newhaven. 

He was in prison for harassment. 

Officers are asking anyone who sees him to call the non-emergency police number 101.

24-year-old Joden Hunt was jailed for six years for killing Maria Smith and her partner while he was 16 times over the drug drive limit.
