Golf's back in the Olympics for the first time in 112 years, as you've probably seen.

But here's a first in this area; a new course at Chesterfield College is trying to help more people into the golf industry.

It gives people who wouldn't normally have access to the sport a chance to get lots of different skills.

It's free for 16 to 18-year-olds and low cost for people over 19. The only other similar one in the country charges about £7,000.

Mick Lunney

Barnsley Council has welcomed news that five routes have been shortlisted for the Trans-Pennine tunnel – the most ambitious road scheme undertaken in the UK in more than five decades.

All five routes join the M60 east of Manchester to the M1 north of Sheffield, with four options starting at the M67.

Trans-Pennine tunnel options revealed

Mick Lunney

BBC Local Live, Sheffield

A government report is out showing the latest ideas for a tunnel across the Pennines.

Map of options

Five routes have been shortlisted for the most ambitious road scheme undertaken in the UK in more than five decades.

The Trans-Pennine tunnel study was launched by the government in autumn 2015, one of a number of studies aimed at addressing some of the biggest challenges facing the road network in the UK.

Today's study shows the case for the tunnel which it says could provide safer, faster and more reliable journeys for motorists.

The tunnel between Manchester and Sheffield could almost halve journey times between the two cities.
