  13. Your comments: Two people with brain injuries refused service by pub in Doncaster

    Jenny Cork

    BBC Sheffield, Local Live

A young woman who was left seriously injured in a car crash 18 months ago is trying to raise awareness of coping with head injuries after being refused service in a Doncaster pub because bar staff mistook her brain injury for being drunk.

Despite Danni Stoton's (pictured left) mum Michelle (right) showing a card about her condition, both Danni and her friend had to leave pub.

Wetherspoons, who own the Gatehouse in Doncaster, have apologised and promised to retrain staff.
