He's now 41 years and 94 days old but Durham skipper Paul Collingwood is having a great season with the bat, and recorded his 35th first-class century today - and his 25th for the club.

It came off 150 balls and included 11 fours, and once again helped Durham recover from a tricky situation, and he was unbeaten on 127 at the close.

He added 53 for the fourth wicket with Cameron Steel, who made 72, but his partnership of 130 with Paul Coughlin for the seventh wicket changed the nature of the day and left Derbyshire a tad deflated in the field.

Coughlin was eventually out for 68 but the partnership was Durham's best for a seventh-wicket stand against Derbyshire, beating the 94 by Chris Scott and Jonathan Longley in Chesterfield in 1994.
