  10. Parliament day 'is beginning of journey to future success'

    Brendan Moffett, the chief executive of Marketing Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, has been talking about whether this day will see more cash brought into the area.

    "Today is all about influencing long investments and infrastructure things like HS2 that are important for the city," he told BBC East Midlands Today.  

    "So we will judge this on results but today is ultimately the beginning of a journey towards future success."

    He said he identified with the Nottinghamshire outlaw's "anti-establishment" and "for the people" character.

  15. MP calls for speeding up of rail electrification plan
