    One man who does is 89-year-old Bill Freeman who captured this amazing cine footage 50 years ago as the last train pulled in.

    Police have put out an appeal to find a missing 15-year-old boy.

    Jack Dennis was reported missing from the Clifton Flower Park area in Clifton at around 22:10 last night.

  8. PCC 'disappointed' over Goddard resignation

    Nottinghamshire's Police and Crime Commissioner has been speaking on the resignation of Dame Lowell Goddard from the independent inquiry into child sexual abuse.

    "I'm very disappointed and I know victims locally will be very disappointed too," Paddy Tipping said.

    "I have already contacted the Home Secretary to ask for her plans on taking the inquiry forward."

  10. Woman killed in A6006 crash named

    A woman killed in a crash yesterday on the A6006 has been named as Amy Young, from Melton Mowbray.

    The 31-year-old died when the car she was driving collided with a van at around 01:00.

    Three men aged 21, 22 and 25 who were arrested, have been bailed.

    The van driver has been released from hospital and a HGV was also involved but the driver was not injured.

    The campaigning group Black Lives Matter now has an offshoot in the UK.

    Set up in the US three years ago in response to police killings of black men, its new UK arm is holding their first day of rallies in London, Manchester and Nottingham.

    When I came down at about 08:30, it was gridlocked but about half an hour later the police had managed to divert most of the traffic.

    It was a quiet protest - there were four people lying on the track and other people standing in front of trams with banners.

  16. Ex-PC jailed over child sex pics

    A former Nottinghamshire Police officer has been jailed for six months for making indecent images of children. 

    Scott Mayor, 45, from Inkersall in Derbyshire, was dismissed from his job in 2015. 

    He admitted six charges at Derby Crown Court yesterday.

    Ch Insp Paul Murphy said: "Mayor brought shame on himself and betrayed the oath of office he took when he became a police officer."
