    Now then, it’s windy out there. Low Pressure to the NW is making it unseasonable windy with gusts of 30-40mph in some places.


    It will stay breezy into tonight with a few showers, but they mostly die out overnight. Lows of 15C (59F).

  5. Skegness visitor numbers 'booming'

    Chris Epton has been working the donkeys on Skegness beach for nearly 50 years.

    He's seen some changes in his time, with some of the worst seasons being during the miners' strikes in the 1980s.

    Business slumped a little in recent years but he says it's picking up and Skeg is "booming again".

  7. Teenagers in hospital after crash

    Two teenagers who were taken to hospital after a car crash in Woodborough Road, Nottingham in the early hours of this morning remain in hospital. 

    Police said a 17-year-old has had treatment for a serious head injury and an 18-year-old man was treated for injuries, not thought to be life threatening.

  12. Forces given money for armed officer equipment

    Paddy Tipping has told BBC Radio Nottingham that the four East Midlands counties are getting £1.3m out of a £136m national budget.

    He said this money will be spent on training and buying equipment for the 44 officers but he said paying for them (such as wages) would cost £2m out of existing force budgets.

  15. Woman spends £160k on cosmetic surgery

    Laura Summers from Nottingham has spent £160,000 on cosmetic surgery and says it's all been worth it. 

    Over 12 years she's had more than 30 operations which have included five boob jobs, two nose jobs, several face fillers and a breast reduction.

  17. New officers 'isn't enough' says commissioner

    Paddy Tipping wasn't specific on how many of the 44 newly trained armed officers would be based in Nottinghamshire.

    But he said 44 across the whole of the East Midlands forces was not enough.

    He said: "In reality we are losing 44 officers from other duties elsewhere. I'm not confident we are getting our fair share of resources."
