Ice skating to return to Great Yarmouth
Andrew Turner
BBC Radio Norfolk
Great Yarmouth Borough Council has agreed to hire an ice rink this winter to boost Christmas trade for shops and market stall holders.
Barry Coleman, who chairs the economic development committee, said it was decided the ice rink should come back after it was deemed too expensive last year.
"I've always felt it was good value - there are other people for various reasons didn't think that it was," he said.
"We spend money on promoting tourism, we spend money on promoting business in many different ways and [to me] this is nothing different to make a vital statement and attract people from outside the borough."
Pedestrian hit by lorry dies
A man has died after being struck by a lorry in Attleborough this lunchtime.
He was hit on Station Road at midday, police said.
Emergency services attended, but the man died at the scene.
The road has been closed around the B1077, Connaught Road and Station Road and diversions have been put in place.
It is likely to be closed for a number of hours while an investigation continues.
The Attleborough Surgery on Station Road has been closed, but the Queen's Square Surgery in the town remains open.
Las Vegas shooting: Norfolk soldiers describe 'chaos' of aftermath
Soldiers from the 1st Queen's Dragoon Guards, based near Dereham, have been speaking about their experiences tending to injured concert-goers following the Las Vegas shooting.
Three troopers from Swanton Morley looked after the wounded on the ground. The servicemen were off duty after taking part in training operations in the Nevada desert.
Ross Woodward said: "It was like a massacre. Panic everywhere.
"There were people running. Our thoughts were to get the people who weren't injured out of the way to deal with people who was injured.
"You couldn't distinguish who was and who wasn't injured initially because people who'd been shot in the back were still limping. It was chaos."
Investigators are still trying to establish the gunman's motive.

Possibility of Colman's leaving city criticised by descendant of company's founder
The great-great-great grandson of the founder of Colman's says if the company left Norwich it would deal a blow to the "identity and culture of our past, present and future".
In an interview in the Eastern Daily Press, James Colman said it would be a huge loss to the city to break the 200-year-old link with one of its most famous exports.

One of the UK's rarest seabirds has had a successful breeding season along the east Norfolk coast.
About 260 little tern chicks have fledged in the county - the largest number across the UK.
This year a colony near Sea Palling produced 170 chicks, while 90 fledglings were recorded in Winterton-on-Sea. They're going to travel to Africa for the winter.
Phil Pearson, RSPB senior conservation officer, says the charity is "delighted" the birds have had another successful season in the area.
However, he says it is "crucial" that safe breeding sites are maintained into the future, and that threats such as high tides, predators and human disturbances are minimised.

County council apology as business complains about roadworks
Norfolk County Council has apologised after a cafe owner near Norwich said she'd lose thousands of pounds in trade due to a road closure outside her business.
Public liaison and communications officer for the Northern Distributor Road, John Birchall, said: "We don't like to affect businesses - it happens wherever roadworks are carried out.
"Parliament has looked at this and decided there isn't a general right to passing trade, which is very hard on businesses such as this.
"The point I would make is the main diversion route will still bring people past Hilltop Cafe, so I hope people will still come in and use it as they normally do.
"We're doing our best to time this closure so we minimise the effects on businesses, particularly in Wroxham.
"We did ask them if they wanted a closure during half-term and the leisure businesses there said 'no, avoid half-term', so we are sensitive to the needs of businesses, but unfortunately we've simply got to get on and get this work done as fast as we can."
Family business fears losing trade during road closure
A small family business near Norwich says it could lose thousands of pounds of trade while a major road is closed.
The A1151 Wroxham road is going to be closed for 10 days from 20:00 while major work on the Northern Distributor Road is completed. Diversions will be in place via Salhouse.
Cornelia Hall, who owns the Hilltop Cafe with her husband James, says she'll lose a lot of footfall.
"It's going to affect us badly - we'll probably lose about £3,000," she said.
"All our regular customers are not going to come in, which is mainly pensioners, and they're not going to sit in the queues and come in for lunch.
"Most people will pop in for breakfast before work, and if they have to queue they're not going to come in for breakfast."
We'll bring you Norfolk County Council's response next.

A fine sunny end to the day across the BBC East region, but isolated showers are possible, particularly in north east Norfolk.
It'll be clear overnight with the risk of a touch of ground frost in sheltered spots as it dips to 5C (41F).
Friday will have a cold start followed by sunny spells and the risk of showers feeding in across eastern parts of Norfolk and Suffolk.
The temperature will peak at 14C (57F).
NDR: Changes to bus services during Wroxham Road closure
Pink Line bus services will also be disrupted due to the complete closure of the A1151 Wroxham Road for the NDR construction work.
All morning and daytime journeys to and from Wroxham will start and finish at Sprowston Tesco.
There will be no through buses from Wroxham to Sprowston, Norwich city centre or the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital.
A shuttle service will operate approximately hourly between Wroxham and Sprowston Tesco, providing connections to and from Pink Line 11 and 12 services.
Some later afternoon buses to Wroxham will be diverted via Rackheath, with a significant increase in journey times.
NDR: Wroxham Road to close to all traffic
One of the main routes in and out of Norwich is to close to all traffic, including cyclists and pedestrians, for 10 nights and nine days.
The A1151 Wroxham Road will close from 20:00 on Friday until 06:00 Monday, 16 October for construction work, including drainage, for the Northern Distributor Road (NDR).
It's the longest A-road closure during the construction of the dual carriageway.
Diversions will be in place, with light traffic directed along the Norwich ring road, Salhouse Road, and Green Lane West.
HGVs, including those for the Rackheath Industrial Estate, must continue on Salhouse Road to Salhouse, and use the B1140 to rejoin the A1151 at Wroxham.
For traffic heading in to Norwich, the diversions will operate in the reverse direction.
Norfolk County Council warns that the diversion routes are expected to become very congested, especially during peak hours - and other routes in the area, including minor lanes, will see a significant increase in vehicles.
Be prepared for flooding
With strong winds forecast, and tides expected to be higher than usual, the Environment Agency has issued a flood warning for Felixstowe and Bawdsey Quay.
High water is due at 01:00 at Harwich, and could cause minor flooding in low lying coastal areas.
The areas most at risk are Bawdsey Quay and in front of the flood defences at Felixstowe Ferry.
Flood alerts have been issued for other parts of the coast between Lowestoft and Bawdsey.
The Tidal Deben Estuary is also at risk of minor flooding in low lying coastal areas, and a flood alert is in force from Felixstowe to Clacton, including the Orwell and Stour Estuaries.
High waters at Great Yarmouth, which will restrict the normal drainage out to sea from the Broads has put the tidal River Waveney, from Ellingham to Breydon Water at risk of flooding.
