  7. Attacked police officer may not return to work

    A Lincolnshire police officer who was assaulted whilst responding to a 999 call has said she's considering not returning to work.

    Jessica Goodhall, who has worked for the force for nine years, was punched while trying to apprehend a man in North Hykeham.

  8. Increase in burglaries in Louth

    Police officers in Louth are warning people in the area to stay vigilant following a spate of burglaries.

    Twenty-three burglaries, in which cash and jewellery were taken, have been reported to the force since September.

    In all cases, thieves targeted the rear of properties at dark over the weekend.

    Officers will be putting on extra patrols in the town and surrounding areas over the festive period.

  9. Festive donations wanted for Grantham foodbank

    People in Grantham are being encouraged to donate groceries to a foodbank in the town over the Christmas period.


    The foodbank, which is run by volunteers, says it supports about 250 households in the area.

    An extra festive cash boost has come this year with a £250 grant from South Kesteven district councillor Helen Goral.

    The foodbank works by clients taking a voucher to the centre which can be redeemed for emergency food to last three days.

  10. Drunk tanks in Lincoln for 'Mad Friday'

    A so-called drunk tank will be in Lincoln city centre tonight, on what's dubbed 'Mad Friday'.

    People who've over indulged can be checked over and even sleep off alcohol in the supervised area on Silver Street.

    NHS England has set aside £300,000 for the units, to ease pressure on A&E departments over the festive period.
