    Prizedraw scams

Frank is believed to have spent about £60,000 on mail scams over almost 20 years.

He entered bogus prize draws thinking he was going to win tens of thousands of pounds.

Trading Standards say 350 people in Lincolnshire have been scammed out of more than £2m in the last 18 months.

Frank says the mail should be seized before it gets to victims:

    Alex Rhodes

    BBC Local Live, Lincolnshire

Up to 70% of people who have a cardiac arrest cardiac could survive if they were treated with a defibrillator - but the same proportion of people in the East Midlands say they don't feel confident using one.

    Defibrillator

A report by St John Ambulance says there's still a long way to go in teaching people what to do in an emergency.

The message from the charity in Lincolnshire is that defibrillators are a lot easier to use than people think:

Quote Message: If you can use a satnav, you can use a defibrillator. You open the box, switch it on, listen to what it's telling you and do what it says. That will save a life." from Peter Howie District manager, St John Ambulance in Lincolnshire

  10. Trust makes £1m from hospital car parks

    Lizzie Musham

    BBC Local Live, Lincolnshire

Lincolnshire's hospital car parks have made more than £1m for the trust which owns them over two years.

    Hospitals

Figures obtained by the BBC show that from 2014 to 2015 United Lincolnshire Hospital's Trust, which runs hospitals in the county, made about £447,000 in parking charges. The following financial year this amount went up to £560,000.

At the start of this month the trust increased car parking charges for visitors at all their hospital sites from £1.40 an hour to £1.60.

ULHT said the increases were in line with local government rate rises and were still lower than most other NHS trusts in the region.

They also said they did not make a profit from charging staff and patients as the income from car parks covered their cost.
