    A fine end to the day with some clear spells this evening allowing fog patches to form. 

    Cloud will tend to thicken overnight with some hill fog developing. Lows of 9C.

    It will be mostly dry overnight, with light winds. 

    Low cloud, mist and fog patches are likely to develop with the fog becoming dense in places for a time, possibly clearing by dawn.

  5. Block paving to be replaced with blacktop surface

    North East Lincolnshire Council plans to replace block paving at Grimsby's Riverhead bus station this weekend.  

    A blacktop surface will replace the blocks from George Street to Town Hall Street. 

    The council says it has been aware of problems with the blocks for some time.

  6. Meeting in Louth to discuss refugee issues

    As teams begin to dismantle the migrant camp known as "The Jungle" in Calais a public meeting is being held in Louth to assess what can be done to help refugees.

    Severe accident: A15 Lincolnshire northbound

    A15 Lincolnshire northbound severe accident, around St Catherine's Road.

    A15 Lincolnshire - Queuing traffic on A15 St Catherines northbound in Lincoln around the St Catherine's Road junction, because of an incident and an accident earlier on. All lanes have been re-opened.

  8. Watch: Lincoln MP asks government for more bypass cash

    The MP for Lincoln has raised the issue of additional funding for Lincoln's new Eastern Bypass at Treasury Questions in the House of Commons.

    Karl McCartney wants the road to be a dual carriageway construction and asked the Chancellor, Phillip Hammond, for the money.

  9. Traffic and travel: Congestion in Boston

    If you're heading to Boston this afternoon then leave some extra time if the journey takes in the A52.

    There's heavy traffic on Sleaford Road and it's quite bad at the Brothertoft Road junction.

  10. First seal pup spotted at Donna Nook reserve

    The first seal pup of the season has been spotted at Donna Nook nature reserve.

    The picture was taken from quite far back as the photographer didn't want to spook the animals so I've made it a bit easier for you to spot the new arrival.


    The warden says mum and six bulls are just off to the left so don't worry, the little pup isn't alone.

  13. Police search for missing teenage girl

    Police want to find a teenage girl who has been missing since the weekend.

    Shelley Martin, aged 15, was last seen in Lincoln yesterday. 

    Lincolnshire Police think she could be in the Newark area. 

    Shelley may be wearing a black tracksuit and a grey top.

    She may also be carrying a black bag.

  14. Man 'assaulted police officer'

    A man has been charged with assaulting a police officer and committing three burglaries.

    Joshua Cox, aged 18, of no fixed abode, has been charged with burglary offences relating to three buildings on Skegness Pier yesterday.

  15. Cowley brothers deny Grimsby move

    Yesterday we told you that Grimsby Town manager Paul Hurst had left the club for Shrewsbury Town.

    Speculation is now running free on social media about his replacement at the Mariners.

    Much attention has focused on Lincoln City manager Danny Cowley and the assistant manager Nicky Cowley.

    The brothers say they won't be leaving Sincil Bank.

  16. Knitivity campaign returns

    Last year BBC Radio Lincolnshire ran a campaign to fill St Botolph's Church, or Boston Stump as it's known, with knitted stars dedicated to your family members or friends who had died.

    And what a success it was! We got thousands:

  17. Lincoln food bank opens second unit

    A Lincoln food bank organisation is to open a second facility on the Ermine estate in Lincoln due to increasing demand.

  18. More asbestos found dumped across Lincolnshire

    We told you earlier about Boston Borough Council having to deal with 50 sheets of asbestos that had been dumped in Old Leake.

    We've now been told of two lots of asbestos that have been found in East Lindsey. 

    A large quantity of the material has been found on Sheep Marsh Lane near Marshchapel. 

    A second smaller tip was found at Horsington.


    It took a specialist team 22 hours to remove the waste from Sheep Marsh Lane.

    Boston Borough Council don't believe that these incidents are connected to the discovery in Old Leake.
