PSCOs: More views

Alex Rhodes

BBC Lincolnshire Live

When we told you earlier that PCSOs aren't going to be replaced in Lincolnshire when they retire or step down, some of you got in touch to say you aren't going to miss them.

They do the jobs that PCs can't do or have just not got time. They are there to support their community and they do a fantastic job.

Ben CarpenterFacebook

Our village would miss our PCSO. Everyone knows him, and it is more likely that 'small stuff' will be told to him, when folks would not wish to phone 'The Police'.

Sylvie TurnerFacebook

PCSOs have replaced fully trained & fully empowered police officers, they are a cost cutting excercise, now they are going as well!

You've been in touch to have your say and, so far, it doesn't look like you'd miss them:

PCSOs are policing on the cheap, they should be replaced by warranted Police Officers.

Wouldn't miss 'em one little bit - whatever monies they do get, use them to recruit and train fully fledged police officers.
