  3. More work to see if Mariners' stadium can be built at Peaks Parkway

    North East Lincolnshire have shortlisted a site off Peaks Parkway in Grimsby as a location for a new community stadium.

    Six locations had been shortlisted.

    Now councillors will carry out further research surrounding the suitability of the site.

  4. Transport police appeal for help in tracking in alleged hate crime incident

    Do you recognise the men in these images? 

    British Transport Police officers want to speak to them about an incident of hate crime that took place at Scunthorpe station.

    It's alleged to have happened on Saturday 6 August at around 21:30 BST.

    A 16-year-old boy was returning from a Pride event with a flag. 

    Officers say three men followed the boy before making several homophobic comments before kicking him in an attempt to take his flag.

  5. Home Office say one of suspected illegal immigrants was a child

    We've spoken to the Home Office who've given us a bit more information on the 13 people picked up and detained by police yesterday in Cranwell on suspicion of entering the UK illegally. 

    Seven of the men were from Sudan aged between 22 and 29-years-old, five others were from Eritrea aged between 24 and 27-years-old.   

    One child was also found at the scene, also from Sudan.

    There's roadworks at the Bull junction and it's beginning to pile up as we head towards the afternoon rush.

  8. Caistor woman given chemotherapy unnecessarily

    A woman has won damages against a local hospital trust after she was wrongly given chemotheraphy at Castle Hill Hospital in Cottingham. 

    The Hull And East Yorkshire Hospital's NHS Trust admitted offering chemotherapy for a low grade form of bowel cancer. 

    Jodi Huggett from Caistor in Lincolnshire says she found out when a private clinic she had contacted told her of the mistake.

  10. Police arrest 13 suspected illegal immigrants

    Police have confirmed that 13 men have been arrested in Cranwell, who they believe have entered the country illegally.

    The arrest was made at about 12:30 yesterday afternoon. 

    They say they'll now hold them until the Home Office transfer them to an immigration centre.

    Because it's hoped Thumper- the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight's Lancaster- will return this weekend. 

    She was grounded last week because of an engine problem. 

    The team at RAF Coningsby have been working to resolve the issue.

  16. Plans for new Mariners' stadium could move forward

    The preferred location for Grimsby Town's new stadium is expected to be announced by North East Lincolnshire Council later. 

    The club wants to build at Peaks Parkway.

    It is one of six areas shortlisted to replace the club's current home at Blundell Park.

  17. Owner says 'absolute and utter disrespect' behind dirty beach

    Earlier we told you about the Ingoldmells beach that's drawn criticism from locals and visitors because of the rubbish left there.

    It's prompted some to call on the council to take it back under their control.

    However the owner of the beach, Simon Adderley, says he's doing all he can and it's the people who use the beach that are the root of the problem.

  18. Traffic and travel: Busy heading to the coast

    It's the last day of summer (in a meteorological sense anyway) so a lot of people are heading to the seaside to soak up the rays we have left. 

    And you know what that means! The A158 heading from Lincoln is pretty rammed. Slow traffic crawling all the way towards the east coast. It's especially bad as it runs through Partney.
