    1. A man has died after the car he was driving crashed into a river in Spalding.
    2. A driver's been seriously injured in a collision involving his car and a lorry on the A151 near Bourne.
    3. Wannabe actors are needed to play bubonic plague victims at this year's Gravity Fields festival.
    4. Scunthorpe hospital say a shortage of around 200 nurses and doctors inspired them to offer financial incentives to staff who refer people for jobs. 
  2. Man dies in River Welland car crash

    A man died after the car he was driving left the road and ended up in a river.

    The man, who has not been named, was rescued from a VW Golf which crashed into the River Welland, near Crowland, on Wednesday night.

  4. Lincoln GCSE results 'improved' on last year

    The number of GCSE students in Lincolnshire attaining an A*-C in English and Maths has increased by five per cent.

    Early indications show 63.2% of students achieved the grades, that's up from 58.5% last year.

    David Lancaster, executive principal at the Barnes Wallis Academy in Lincoln, says the number of pupils achieving the key benchmark has more than doubled from 32% to 66%.

  5. BreakingFootball: Tractor boy comes to Boston

    Boston United have completed the youth loan signing of Ipswich Town defender Joe Robinson.

    The 20-year-old centre-half, who has captained the Tractor Boys' under-21s on a number of occasions, has one first team appearance to his credit at Portman Road.

    He also featured six times during a loan spell with National League side Woking last season.

    Subject to Football Association and National League ratification, Robinson will be in line to make his United debut against Kidderminster Harriers on Saturday.

    His initial spell at The Jakemans Stadium runs until 24 September.

  8. Bourne crash update

    A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a crash between a car and a lorry near Bourne.

    Lincolnshire Police and the air ambulance were called to the A151 between Corby Glen and Swineshead at around 12:35pm.

    The driver of a black Vauxhall Insignia was taken to the Queens Medical Centre.

    The A151 is closed at the B1176 and more information will be released when available.

  9. BreakingTraffic and travel: Road closed due to crash

    The A151 at Bourne is closed in both directions near the Church Lane junction due to an accident involving a car and a lorry.

    An air ambulance has been sent to the scene and police in Lincolnshire confirmed there have been injuries.

    Scunthorpe General Hospital says a shortage of about 200 nurses and doctors provoked them to offer financial incentives to staff who refer people for jobs.

    They tweeted earlier this week saying they'd give £250 for referrals.

    So far six people have already taken them up on the offer. 

  11. New trampoline park to open in Grantham

    A trampoline park will open in Grantham in October.

    Jump Revolution will be in the Springfield Park Industrial Estate, off Springfield Road. 

    Features will include a giant airbag, dodgeball, cardio wall challenge and gladiator foam pit.    

  12. Budding actors needed to play Black Death victims

    Wannabe actors are needed to play bubonic plague victims in Lincolnshire. 

    As part of this year's Gravity Fields Festival in Grantham, performers will portray those struck down by the Black Death.

  13. D-Day for residents in the Washdyke Estate

    People living on an estate in Immingham say they're worried they'll be forced out of the area if plans to knock down up to 18 tower blocks go ahead. 

    They are meeting with the Shoreline Housing Partnership to discuss their concerns this evening.

    The social housing charity is currently consulting on plans to demolish 220 properties on the Washdyke Estate.   

  14. Farmer Andrew Ward appeals for return of stolen MBE

    A farmer honoured for his work with flood victims has appealed for the return of his MBE after thieves stole his car containing the award.

    Andrew Ward founded the Forage Aid charity to help livestock producers hit by bad weather in 2014.

    A Land Rover was stolen at his farm in Leadenham, Lincolnshire, on 18 August.  

  15. Football: Boston Utd fan banned for running on pitch

    Boston United have issued a banning order to a football fan who ran on the pitch during the club's away game at Darlington FC.

    The supporter - who ran on the pitch after Jay Rollins' stoppage time goal for the Pilgrims - has been banned until 1 October. 

    United safety officer John Thorogood said: "The club take no pleasure in issuing banning orders of this nature, but we are responsible for the actions of our supporters and must ensure that we comply with FA regulations at all times."

  16. Man attacked for wallet and phone in Grimsby

    A man has been assaulted by two men after they attempted to steal his mobile phone and wallet.

    It happened yesterday evening as the man was walking home along Cromwell Road in Grimsby.

    The 31-year-old male was approached by two men, who ran off towards Rosevere Avenue in the town following the assault.

    The men were described as white, of slim build aged between 23 and 28. One was about 5ft 7in and the other around 6ft tall.
