  2. Traffic and travel: A16 closed in Spading

    BBC Travel

    Clay Lake Bank in Spalding is closed in both directions between the A16 junction and the Old Fendike Road junction.

    There's been an accident involving two lorries.

  3. Grimsby businessman jailed for £114,000 insurance fraud

    Clive Thomas Wade, 55, was found guilty of faking and forging a number of invoices and documents linked to his kitchen sales business.

    Wade was sentenced to three years in prison after making a number of fraudulent insurance claims to NFU Mutual who grew suspicious at the scale of the claims. 

    In one instance Wade attempted to claim thousands back for water damage a day after he took out a business insurance policy.

  4. Substances recovered in Lincoln raid

    We told you earlier that two people, a 36-year-old man and a 30-year-old-woman, have been arrested following a police search in Archer Street this morning. 

    They've told us they were acting on intelligence and also released this photo of some of the substances they found in the raid.

  6. Travellers consultation launched

    A consultation into proposed traveller sites in East Lindsey will begin today. 

    East Lindsey District Council is considering 35 pitches across two sites including Alford, Louth and Skegness. 

    The district has had recurring problems with travellers illegally staying on car parks.

  10. Mayor funding under question after Brexit result

    Some interesting details emerging from the launch of the six week consultation on a directly elected mayor for Greater Lincolnshire.

    Another bid has gone to central government calling for more powers and greater devolution, there's also a chance that whoever holds the position could also take over the Police and Crime Commissioner role.

    Perhaps most interesting of all is that part of the £15m central government promised for the areas that got on board with the idea actually comes from the EU.

    Obviously that is now very much under threat so councilors are looking for reassurances that this funding will be secure.

  12. 'I won't say anything about who should succeed him' - Gainsborough MP

    The MP for Gainsborough Sir Edward Leigh won't be drawn on who he thinks should be the next Prime Minister after David Cameron announced he would step down last Friday.

    Leigh, who campaigned for Vote Leave, said he was delighted with the result but "saddened by the Prime Ministers decision to resign" adding that he had served with "dedication and honour".

    He also said that now the result is in there's no need to rush the Brexit process:

  13. Two arrested under new legal high laws

    A man and a woman in Lincoln have been arrested after a police raid on a property in Archer Street on suspicion of intent to supply legal highs.

    Another man was arrested on separate charges.

    It's the first time a warrant has been issued in Lincoln under the new laws.

  14. New police office opens in Skegness

    There's a new police office on Lyndhurst Avenue in the Barratt Court Complex.

    It's open to members of the public and residents of the complex as well.

  15. Roaring trade in Cleethorpes over the weekend

    It was Armed Forces Day over the weekend and Cleethorpes was chosen as the host.

    Thousands attended including Red Arrows and the Prime Minister (until October anyway), David Cameron.

  18. Man jailed after £96,000 Boston drugs bust

    A man who admitted growing cannabis worth thousands after police searched his home was today jailed for two and half years.

    Robert Knopek, 30, admitted producing around 120 plants after police visited his home and in Fen Road, Boston, and noticed a strong smell of cannabis.

    Knopek, who had no previous convictions, made no comment during police interview but later admitted being a "gardener" for the cannabis.
