Ryan Allen managed to get a free holiday out of Richard Branson when a Virgin train blocked his shot of Flying Scotsman, a fact that didn't go unnoticed online...

Sorry Toby, we're not sure if that counts. Branson might be able to give you a few in-flight magazines though.

Mainly dry this evening with long clear periods, this of course means there's a chance of frost overnight.

An isolated light wintry shower may affect coastal areas in light easterly or variable breeze.

  5. Sport: Make or break for Boston this weekend

    Rob Makepeace

    BBC Radio Lincolnshire sport

It seems strange saying with 11 games to go that Boston United's match this weekend is a must-win.

They host Worcester City and with the Pilgrims pushing for a play off spot every single match is vital with second to sixth bunched so closely together.

However, the Pilgrims received a big boost this week when top scorer Dayle Southwell returned from injury and scored in the midweek win at Bradford Park Avenue.

If they can keep Southwell fit and scoring then a place in top five should be Boston's come the end of the season.

  6. Police say injuries from first A16 crash 'not life-threatening'

    Alex Rhodes

    BBC Lincolnshire Live

Police say that a 52-year-old driver's injuries are not life-threatening after she was involved in a head-on collision with another car on the A16 near Crowland this morning.

We've not had any word on whether anyone has been injured in the crash just after 4pm, although police described the incident as "very serious".

  8. Problems return on the A16

    Alex Rhodes

    BBC Lincolnshire Live

Emergency services are at the scene of a very serious collision on the A16 near Spalding. It happened just after 4pm.

The road has been closed at the Sutterton and Gosberton roundabouts and motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible.

All we know at the moment is that the crash involved a car and a lorry. More as we have it.

    Alex Rhodes

Ryan Allen from Spilsby who took that, now infamous, video of Flying Scotsman yesterday has met up with representatives from Virgin at Grantham Railway Station who've given him a goody bag and reaffirmed their promise to fly him out to the US.

Ryan Allen at Grantham Railway station

He was out fixing a pipe for Anglian Water when he decided to take a video of the magnificent engine, which a Virgin train promptly ruined.

After all this he's told them he's not really a train fan!
