    A man's been charged after a stabbing at Nottingham's Victoria Centre.

    A 19-year-old man was stabbed in the leg on 17 June.

    Aziah McKenzie-McKenna, who's 18 and from Lyndhurst Road in Sneinton, appeared before Nottingham magistrates today charged with wounding.

    He's due to return to the court next month

  9. Saddleworth Moor blaze: Fire service thanks public for support

    Derbyshire Fire and Rescue has thanked everyone who's donated supplies and refreshments to its firefighters who've been helping to battle the huge blaze on Saddleworth Moor.

    It's been receiving requests for donations, which it said will be split between the Fire Fighters Charity and a charity chosen by one of the other organisations tackling the fire.

    Donations of refreshments can be left at Buxton or Glossop fire stations.

    Area manager Bob Curry thanked people for their "amazing support whilst we've been dealing with this major incident".

    The blaze, which has been burning for three days, covers 3.7miles (6km) of Saddleworth Moor on the northwestern edge of the Peak District. It has prompted firefighters to evacuate about 50 homes.

    Some 100 firefighters from Greater Manchester have been tackling seven ongoing blazes with support from Cheshire and Derbyshire.

  12. Three arrests after Rutland ram-raid

    Three men have been arrested after a car was used to break in to a petrol station supermarket in Uppingham.

    Alcohol and cigarettes were stolen from Budgens in North East Street about 04:00 yesterday morning.

    Leicestershire Police said the men, two aged 39 and one aged 31, from Corby in Northamptonshire, were arrested this morning on suspicion of burglary.
