  2. Weather: Feeling warmer on Tuesday

  3. Eight arrested after New Parks stabbing

    Police are still investigating a stabbing that happened in New Parks on Thursday. They say a 19-year-old man remains in hospital in a stable condition.

    It happened on Aikman Close just before 17:00 during a fight involving "a large number of people". 

    Eight people have been arrested so far - four have been released without charge and four, including a 15-year-old, have been released on bail.

  4. Another man bailed over GBH in Ashby

    A fourth man arrested on on suspicion of grievous bodily harm during a fight in Ashby over the weekend has been released on bail.

    Police have said the victim remains in hospital in a critical condition.

  7. Comment from hunt group

    The animal rights group has said they were tracking the hunt in Shackerstone on Saturday when the "unprovoked attack" took place.

    The Atherstone Hunt has released this statement: “I can confirm that the Atherstone Hunt are co-operating with the police and all available video footage has been handed to them. We are not able to comment further while the investigation is ongoing.”

  8. Hunt Saboteur had hospital treatment

    A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm following the confrontation between Atherstone Hunt members and the Hunt Saboteurs in Leicestershire.

  11. Tigers keep hold of O’Connor

    Leicester Tigers have announced yet another of their players will be staying on with the club - this time it's back-row forward Brendon O’Connor.

    The 27-year-old flanker has now made 29 appearances for the club.

  13. Father's plea for information on son's murder

    Mr Lebato’s father, Tagbeu Lebato, has also released an emotional plea for help to catch his son’s killer.

    In a statement released through police, he said: “Lauric was the first person in my life, the centre of it, and was so very, very, important to me.

    "I don't want anyone else to go through what I have and I don't want this to happen to someone else's relative.

    "You must pass on information to police, no matter what it is, don't hold it back."

  14. Murdered student had been partying

    We told you earlier about the death of a man in Albion Street in the early hours of Saturday.

    Police have now said 22-year-old Lauric Lebato had been at a party in a block of flats in the street before he was attacked.

  16. Government comment on 'Albanian murderer'

    An update on that story in the Daily Mail today which claims an Albanian murderer is running a car wash in Oadby.

  17. Fitzgerald extends stay

    ANOTHER Leicester Tigers player has committed to more time at the club - Mike Fitzgerald...

    The 29-year-old joined Tigers in the summer of 2015 and has made 44 appearances and scored four tries.

    Fitzgerald said: “I’ve enjoyed my time at the club so far and settled well here with my family. It was an easy decision to make to stay with the club."

  18. Travel: Lanes closed on M1

    Two lanes are now closed and there's queuing traffic on the M1 northbound between J20 (Lutterworth) and J21 (Leicester), because of emergency repairs.
