Staying dry but turning increasingly cloudy overnight. Fog patches will form in the evening and persist into tomorrow morning. 

Some dense freezing fog patches locally, with visibility less than 100m - a minimum temperature of 1C (34F).

PCC unveils new policing plan

Leicestershire's Police and Crime Commissioner has presented draft proposals for his new police and crime plan.

He's appeared before the Police and Crime Panel at County Hall this afternoon. 

The plan needs to be in place by the end of March - Lord Willy Bach said the plan will see less emphasis on targets.

Weather warning for fog

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for fog in place from 18:00 on Monday till 09:00 on Tuesday.

It said: "With little cloud and light winds, fog is expected to readily develop during Monday evening, affecting the evening rush hour in some areas as well as the morning rush hour on Tuesday."

'Disorder' on Leicester streets

Three people have been arrested for public order offences following "disorder" on Bridge Road and St Barnabas Road in Leicester.

It happened just before 21:00 last night - police said a large number of men gathered.

The arrested men, aged 20, 21 and 23, have been released on bail.

Glider crash death: Wreckage removed

Members of the investigation team removed the glider from the field near Lubbenham this afternoon.

The pilot died after a mid-air crash with a light aircraft on Sunday.

Michael Walker is the city council's operations manager and said: "Ideally I'd love it to be banned. I think every authority would, but realistically we know we can't enforce a ban of chewing gum in the city."

So far this year the city council has cleaned gum off 40,000 sq meters of ground.

Ipswich are the only weaker champions. In 1962-63 they had 12 points from their opening 14 (if we convert to three points for a win).

Police 'follow new lead' on missing Madeleine

Detectives investigating the disappearance of Leicestershire's Madeleine McCann are following an "important" new lead, according to reports.

The tip has strengthened the theory that Madeleine was kidnapped and trafficked, the Sun on Sunday has said.
