    Little changing for the rest of the day and overnight. It will stay generally dry but fairly cloudy throughout.

    There will be a few holes in the cloud to give some sunny spells and most areas will stay dry again but there is the chance of an isolated shower drifting by.

    The government is rejecting calls for child refugees arriving from Calais to have their teeth examined to establish their age.

    It follows concern that some of them are actually adults.

    Police are asking you to keep your eyes peeled for items like this after 36 bronze statues were stolen from a garden centre in Rutland...


    It happened some time between the garden centre closing on the evening of Friday 30 September and then re-opened the next morning.

    The idea of "pick your own pumpkin" started last year when people were asking Alan Ludlam if they could have photos with the half acre of pumpkins he'd grown.

    He says he took a risk this year and grew a bumper batch.

    They say many puppies bought as impulse presents online are then abandoned in the new year.

  17. More people jobless in East Midlands

    There's been a small rise in the number of unemployed people in the East Midlands. 

    In August there were 109,000 people out of work in our region - that's 2,000 more than in the previous quarter.

    Nationally the number rose by 10,000 in the three months to August.
