Quote Message: Over the past year we have been making some changes to the way we manage our commercial business to ensure we create the right local trading environment for our brokers across the UK whilst recognising that digital opportunities are changing the way business is done. As a result of this we will be creating a digital team in Perth, moving some of the work done at Leicester to there. Unfortunately this decision will see a reduction of around 82 roles in Leicester, with a team of around 27 roles remaining." from Aviva Spokesperson

Here is a little bit more of what Unite know about the jobs at Aviva in Leicester:

Quote Message: Any loss of jobs is to be strongly deplored, but we are working closely with the company to mitigate the number of jobs under threat. The company is planning to reduce the staff from the current figure of about 116 roles in Leicester, with those staff retained moving to a more mobile operation, either based in brokers’ offices or working from home with occasional site/broker visits. We have just entered the 45-day consultation period and Unite will be doing all it can to provide maximum support to our members at Aviva at this time of worry and uncertainty for them." from Dominic Hook Unite, National Officer for Finance
