    Staying dry for most of the night with some clear spells at first but the cloud will thicken by the end of the night and there will be some showery rain heading in by the morning.

    Do you remember Sarah Outen? She's the adventurer from Rutland who spent more than four years traveling around the world using only a kayak, bike and rowing boat.

    An appeal's been launched to try to find more volunteers for the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance.

    The charity relies on donations so this week they are asking the towns and cities in the area to "turn the streets yellow" with fundraising.

  8. New facilities to open at Glenfield

    Ironically, a new room will officially open at Glenfield Hospital on Monday for children before and after they have heart surgery.

    It'll be a bitter sweet opening now they've been told they're going to lose the service in less than a year.

    As well as improved facilities, hospital bosses were about to advertise for a new heart surgeon so they could increase the amount of patients they treat and care for.

    It was all part of a plan to meet the new requirements set by NHS England.

  9. Police widen search after park death

    Police investigating the murder of Brendon Mason are continuing to search Abbey Park.

    Specialist search teams have widened their search to include the canal towpath towards the National Space Centre.

  17. 'It's criminal' to lose Glenfield service

    Amber had open heart surgery at Glenfield Hospital on Monday...

    The family travel from Derbyshire for the service and say they were all devastated to hear the news.

    Amber's mum Lisa says: "The staff are absolutely brilliant and Amber feels comfortable here."

    Stepdad Gav says: "It's criminal for it not to be here."
