    George Higgs' son Brian has been sharing stories of his dad's life with BBC Radio Leicester. 

    "I remember when my mum died in '93 and he came over to the US - to try to figure out what to do with the rest of his life.

    "He went back, took up with a different group of people, ballroom dancing with a different group and by the time his 100th birthday came along there were more people from that new group than his former life."

    George Higgs spoke to the BBC in 2011 about how he enjoyed using the internet.

    His son Brian, who now lives in the United States, said his dad believed in living life to the full.

    Lizzie King, a final year student nurse at De Montfort University, has been speaking about what she will do when she finishes her degree. 

    "There is a guaranteed job, there is a really broad spectrum of placements across our training," she said. 

    "I would like to stay in Leicester, Leicester is a fantastic city to be nursing in, but who knows." 

  16. Ranieri: Kante to miss next two matches
