Goodbye: Our live coverage across the day

Nick Wilmshurst

BBC Local Live, Leeds

Thanks for being with us today, I hope we've been able to keep you up to date with what's been happening across the county.

We'll be back at 08:00 on Monday with more news, travel, sport and weather.

We've seen a lot of people have lots of fun in the snow today, like these below in Oxenhope

But, as the snow turns to that slushy stuff in the centre of our towns and cities, I leave you with this picture of Leeds from Charles Heslett, who asks: "Was it all just a dream?"

Students on teacher training courses in West Yorkshire are taken around primary schools to meet staff and children to entice them to work in the city.

One of the tours was scheduled to take place today, but was cancelled because of the snow.

Bradford is a challenging place to work but it's also exciting."

Evans was advised by the club's chairman Massimo Cellino not to talk to the media after Monday's 4-0 defeat by Brighton & Hove Albion.

"I 100% have to believe that I am going to be here in the summer," the 53-year-old told BBC Radio Leeds.

Travel update: Accident on M621 and Leeds outer ring road closed due to flooding

BBC Travel

This isn't good news at rush hour either, the A6120 Outer Ring Road in Leeds is closed eastbound between Woodside Roundabout and the Black Moor Road junction, because of flooding.

We've also had news of an accident on the M621 eastbound in Leeds between J2 (A643 Elland Road) and J2a (Cemetery Holbeck).

M62 crash scene being cleared - but delays still expected

This is better news after the multi-vehicle accident - but we can still expect delays on the M62 during rush hour I'm afraid.

Here are the latest headlines for West Yorkshire so far today:

West Yorkshire snow: The mystery beast of Horsforth?

Can you help Alison, who posted on the Horsforth Community Group page on Facebook.

She spotted these animal tracks in Hall Park, but what creature would make these kind of marks in the snow?

Guesses so far include reindeer, a gremlin and a kangaroo! The favourite so far is a squirrel though.

West Yorkshire snow: Todmorden, it's under there somewhere

Travel update: M62 westbound J23 accident

BBC Travel

We've got a multi-vehicle accident on the westbound M62 between J23 (A640 Huddersfield) and J22 (A672 Rishworth Moor), the weather conditions aren't helping either.

This is J25 westbound (you can just about see it through the water on the lens). There's very much a queue, I'd avoid if you can.

Watch: School's open for business - but there's still fun in the snow

More than 80 schools in West Yorkshire are closed because of the snow - but that means most of the county's schoolchildren still had to make their way to lessons this morning.

Some made sure they didn't miss out on the fun at break time though...

Weather Watchers pictures: Narnia? No, Leeds actually

Our Weather Watchers around West Yorkshire have been busy snapping away. I suppose because there's quite a bit of weather to watch!

Earlier we showed you a pic of Horsforth that the sender said looked like Narnia. Well here's another, looks like it's straight out of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

Spare a thought for Harry and Paul...

It's less than a week until Look North's Harry Gration and Paul Hudson start their three counties, three-legged walk for BBC Sport Relief

They'll be walking more than 110 miles tied together at the ankle.

Paul and Harry tied together at the ankle

It's hard enough to walk three-legged at the best of times, but snow and ice won't make things very nice at all. If this weather carries on, I don't think we're going to have much fun..."

Harry Gration

The walk starts in Rotherham next Thursday morning and the first day finishes with a special edition of Look North from outside Barnsley town hall.

We'll keep you updated here on Local Live. You'll also be able to follow how they get on on social media

If you can spare a few pounds, click here to donate (we'd be really grateful!)
