  1. Good evening

    Bolton 1-2 Leeds

It didn't make for easy viewing in the last ten minutes, but Leeds have survived a late Bolton rally and are through to the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Steve Evans has also confirmed that he's looking to do a deal with a player overseas, one that he has tried to sign in the past.

You can catch our post-match interview with Evans on our In Short Sport page.

We'll be back on Saturday for the clash with Nottingham Forest. As always, thank you for joining us and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

  3. More from Evans

    Bolton 1-2 Leeds

"I wouldn't have slept tonight if we hadn't had won," Steve Evans told Adam Pope.

"I've told the President that if he gives me time, I will build a team for the Premier League. I just need time and confidence to do it.

"We want a big club in the draw, so we need to draw ourselves. I would love to bring a big club to Elland Road. I want the opportunity as a head coach to play my team in front of 40,000 at Elland Road.

"For our supporters sake, I would love them to have a great day at home against a big team."

  5. Steve Evans on today's win

    Bolton 1-2 Leeds

"I stand here immensley proud of that performance, both on and off the pitch," Steve Evans told BBC Radio Leeds.

"The atmosphere from kick-off to the end was stunning. We gave a sloppy goal away and you think the magic of the cup might come back and bite you but we managed to hold on.

"We want to be building with gifted young players and we want to give people opportunities. We're without some of the players we would normally start and yet we've still won.

"I saw it today as a 4-2-4 and you give that four a licence to play. I thought Toumani and Bridcutt were outstanding and that was able to let Cook go and play."

  6. Noel on the next round

    Bolton 1-2 Leeds

    Noel Whelan

    Ex-Leeds United striker

It's a one-off game and you can beat any team on your day.

I would like to go a bit further, so get into the big round, let some big teams get drawn against each other, and then who knows?

  7. FIfth round update

    Bolton 1-2 Leeds

  8. Noel on Scott Wootton

    Bolton 1-2 Leeds

    Noel Whelan

    Ex-Leeds United striker

He had to deal with some real pace today and he dealt with it the best he could.

What impressed me today was that you saw him in more advanced positions - sometimes he was the furthest man forward.

It's like the introduction of Diagouraga has given him a bit more freedom and confidence. That's something the management will have wanted from him.

  9. Bolton 1-2 Leeds

Good to see Sam Byram is keeping an eye on his old team!

  10. More from Noel

    Bolton 1-2 Leeds

    Noel Whelan

    Ex-Leeds United striker

We were hard to beat today and we seemed a more balanced side.

Lewis Cook was everywhere and he was creating all the time. That’s the energy that he can bring to a football side.

  11. Into the fifth round we go

Here are all the results from the rest of today's FA Cup fixtures:

    Arsenal 2-1 Burnley

    Aston Villa 0-4 Man City

    Bury 1-3 Hull

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Stoke

    Nottingham Forest 0-1 Watford

    Oxford United 0-3 Blackburn

    Portsmouth 1-2 Bournemouth

    Reading 4-0 Walsall

    Shrewsbury 3-2 Sheffield Wednesday

Liverpool and West Ham will face off in about 25 minutes time.

  13. Noel on today's win

    Bolton 1-2 Leeds

    Noel Whelan

    Ex-Leeds United striker

It wouldn't have been Leeds United if it had been a nice, 2-0 win!

Bolton didn’t really have any kind of spell in the first half then it was a little bit close for comfort at the end.

It wasn’t just the selection today, it was the way they went about the game – the desire, the tempo, the commitment.

They played some smashing football out there today. They couldn’t get that third goal and I’m sure Neil Lennon will be happy to have seen a reaction from his side, but Leeds are in the hat.

  14. Thoughts from the press box

    Bolton 1-2 Leeds

They like to make it difficult, don't they? Leeds have hung on though, and they're into the fifth round for the third time in 13 years.

Despite a wobble in the final ten minutes, Leeds have deserved that win and they've sealed their place in the fifth round.

  16. Bolton 1-2 Leeds

Marco Silvestri does well this time as he ends Bolton's rush forward, and Lewie Coyle bunts the ball up the other end of the pitch. Leeds never make it easy, do they?

  17. Bolton 1-2 Leeds

A great tackle from Charlie Taylor rescues Leeds after Bolton nicked the ball and ran with it. Leeds are being forced to defend in these last few minutes.

  18. Bolton 1-2 Leeds

Another substitution for Leeds, as the excellent Lewis Cook is replaced by Tom Adeyemi.
