  1. Good evening

    Leeds 2-0 Rotherham

So Leeds are through to the fourth round for just the second time in six seasons - and, crucially, they are unbeaten in eight games.

Today won't go down as a classic but it was a superb goal from debutant Mustapha Carayol, and a deserved one from Soulemayne Doukara.

You can listen to our interviews with Carayol and head coach Steve Evans here.

We'll be back for Tuesday's all-important clash with Ipswich Town. Thank you very much for joining us, and have a great evening!

  3. More from Evans

    Leeds 2-0 Rotherham

"Stuart Dallas and Carayol compliment each other," Evans told BBC Radio Leeds.

"Dallas is a wonderful player but I like the way Carayol can go either side. There's no doubt Carayol and Liam Bridcutt have added some quality to the group.

"I thought we were effective for the first half but we really came alive just before half-time. I think second half, Mirco Antenucci and Soulemayne Doukara had a lot of work to do and I think Doukara's goal came from endeavor.

"I said to Doukara hen he works as hard as he did when he came on at Wolves, he will always have a part to play with us going forward."

  4. Steve Evans on today's result

    Leeds 2-0 Rotherham

    Steve Evans

Steve Evans has been speaking to BBC Radio Leeds about today's win.

"We deserved to win," Evans said. "It was always going to tough but I feel I've knocked a team out of the cup that I gave a good period of my life to.

"It's mixed emotions and I feel for them as well.

"I think we started really well. For me, every time Carayol gets the ball, he's a threat."

  7. Noel on Carayol's debut

    Leeds 2-0 Rotherham

    Noel Whelan

    Ex-Leeds United striker

Carayol has shown he can do both sides to his game. He’s been really effective crossing into the area.

He seems to naturally put it in the right place. He doesn’t pick out a man because if you put it in the right area, you’ll expect a man to be there.

Chris Wood will have been watching this and rubbing his hands together. He’ll be looking forward to getting on to some of those crosses.

  9. Thoughts from Noel

    Leeds 2-0 Rotherham

    Noel Whelan

    Ex-Leeds United striker

It was a workman-like game; there was some good football and some good creative play and that’s what it is all about.

They’ve got through this round and they’re in the bag for the next draw.

It's great for the fans. They've seen a 4-4-2 and they've seen two strikers work really hard. I thought Doukara was excellent and his goal there showed you to never give up.

A brilliant goal from Mustapha Carayol, a deserved strike from Soulemayne Doukara and Leeds are into the fourth round of the FA Cup.

It's only the second time in six seasons that Leeds have reached the fourth round.

It's not going to go down as a classic, not by a long way, but Leeds have deserved that win. Let us know your thoughts @wysdaily

Just rewards for Doukara as he pops home a second from a free-kick.

Rotherham went to absolute pieces trying to defend that; it was angled in but Frazer Richardson left it for Lee Camp.

The ball rolled so slowly towards Camp that Doukara simply nipped in and slotted it into an empty net.

  12. Leeds 1-0 Rotherham

Another change for Leeds as Luke Murphy makes way for Lewis Cook.

  13. Leeds 1-0 Rotherham

Chances are like buses, as Stuart Dallas smashes the ball into the bar. Some great passing from Doukara in the build-up there and Dallas picked his spot but it ricocheted off the underside off the crossbar.

  14. Leeds 1-0 Rotherham

That's better from Leeds, as Lewie Coyle, Soulemayne Doukara and Sam Byram all work together to tee up Mirco Antenucci. Antenucci can only knock it wide, however.

  15. Leeds 1-0 Rotherham

Stuart Dallas fires in yet another free-kick to Sam Byram at the far post, but it's headed wide by Byram.

  16. Leeds 1-0 Rotherham

It's not a great free kick but Leeds are able to win the ball back and thwack it back up to their end. Another goal would cut off Rotherham's attack for good.

Johnson Clarke-Harris sees the first card of the game, on 82 minutes, after a foul on Liam Taylor.

  17. Leeds 1-0 Rotherham

A free kick for Leeds as Aymen Belaid slides into Soulemayne Doukara.
