  7. Homeless to get free fish and chips on Christmas Day

    A festive serving will be fried up at a West Yorkshire fish and chip shop on Christmas Day.

    Darren Millard and Angela Blair from Avondale Fisheries, in Ossett, will be serving the homeless for free.

    Angela told BBC Radio Leeds she will be taking the food to local homeless shelters.

  8. Sex offender rehabilitation charity 'desperately needs volunteers'

    More on the story that a West Yorkshire paedophile is calling on other sex offenders to join a scheme which helps them stop abusing more children.

    He's been talking to BBC Radio Leeds after getting help from the charity Circles of Support and Accountability which says it desperately needs volunteers to help it operate.

    A team of 21 people from the Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team were involved in the rescue of an elderly man who was injured in an incident at Brontë Falls in Haworth yesterday..

    The man fell and suffered a suspected broken leg and was transferred up a steep hill to the air ambulance before being taken to hospital.

  12. High Street shops 'face rates shake-up'

    High Streets in the UK are set to face radical changes in the amount of money they pay in business rates in future, new research suggests.

    Property consultant Colliers International found 76 out of the UK's main towns and shopping centres will see an increase in their rates bill.

    Some parts of London will see an increase of more than 400%, it says. The winners, mainly in the Midlands and north of England, will see business rates plummet, it adds.
